West County Community Services serves lunch to seniors Monday through Friday at Noon three location during the week: Mondays & Wednesday at the St. Phillips Church in Occidental; Wednesdays & Fridays at the Guerneville Senior Center; Tuesdays lunch is served in Forestville at the Methodist Church - the center asks for a nominal donation, no one is turned away for lack of funds.

Rotary Club of the Russian River meets weekly for fellowship, dinner and an informative presentation from a guest speaker. Meetings are held at the Hideaway in Guerneville

River to Coast Children’s Services offers FREE Kindergym classes in 3 locations:  Wednesdays 9:30a-12:30 in Forestville at the United Methodist Church; Mondays & Tuesdays 9:45a-12:30 in Guerneville at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall; and 2nd Thursday of each month 10a-12p at the Bodega Bay Union Church.

Russian RiverKeepers meet every Wednesday, except when there is enough rain to need a raincoat. OK to join for all or part of the time, wear sturdy shoes and a hat, bring your own drinking water.  The park is located on the north bank of the Russian River directly upstream of the pedestrian bridge. Access is down the driveway in front of the Sonoma Nesting Co.

The People in Black hold vigil for peace on Fridays at Noon at the downtown fountain in Guerneville. Rain or shine the People in Black stand in solidarity with non-violent protests worldwide, anyone is welcome to join them on Fridays to wave, smile and pray for peace.

2nd & 4th Saturdays 10a-Noon
Food Bank distribution by the Guerneville Community Church is open on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays each month from 10am - Noon.  Fresh produce and dry and canned goods are available to anyone in need.

1st Friday ArtWalk-Guerneville - The HeArt of the Russian River: Supporting a Localized Year-Round Economy through Arts & Culture.  A monthly evening of art viewing & artists' receptions at Galleries & Businesses throughout Guerneville, most open til 8pm & BEYOND. All receptions are free & open to the public. Many showings include complimentary refreshments & opportunities to converse with featured artists. The Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence present "The Pencils & Paper Project 2014”  West Sonoma schools classroom budgets have been cut so drastically that teachers have to dip into their OWN pockets to buy classroom supplies... we want to help alleviate this burden! Drop school supplies and donations in the drop boxes - there is an ever growing list of dropbox locations on the FB and RR Sisters web pages.

About Give-Back Tuesday: Beneficiary of the week brings food to sell at $5/plate & there is usually a raffle or auction. 10% of the bar is always donated by the generous owners of the Rainbow Cattle Company.
