| Ongoing | West County Community Services serves lunch to seniors Monday through Friday at Noon three locations during the week: Mondays & Wednesdays at the St Phillips Church in Occidental / Wednesdays & Fridays at the Guerneville Senior Center / on Tuesdays lunch is in Forestville at the Methodist Church – the center asks for a nominal donation, no one is turned away for lack of funds. We have confirmed that, to date, the budget crisis in WDC has not adversely affected this lunch program. From October 16 – 28, the Russian River Senior Resource Center is getting a facelift. New paint & carpet, during this time all classes will be held at the Marshal House, behind the Russian River Center; however, lunch and bingo will be canceled in Guerneville from Oct 16-28 – lunch will resume on Wednesday, October 30th in the newly refurbished hall. On Friday, November 1, 2013, the Weekly Vigil will be followed by a walk (or drive) to the Guerneville Cemetery to clean up the grave sites and "Wake the Dead" with a picnic lunch. Bring Your Bag Lunch, work gloves, trash bags, pruning shears, small rakes - we will pick up trash along the walk to the Pioneer Cemetery & Redwood Memorial Gardens.
